Setup Contactable

Step 1

To start receiving leads from your website, you first need to install the Contactable Mobile App on your mobile phone.

Download and install the iOS Mobile App or the Android Mobile App on your mobile phone.

Or search for “Contactable” in your App Store then download and install the Contactable Mobile App on your mobile phone.

Step 2

Open the Contactable Mobile App and create a Contactable account.

Step 3

A verification email will be sent to your email address. Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account. Then make your way back to the app and press “I’ve verified my email” to continue.

Step 4

You will be asked to allow contactable to send you notifications, this will only be used to deliver you notifications from the contacts coming into your website, press Next and follow your operating systems prompt to allow notifications.

Step 5

You can then You will see a Welcome screen, Hit Let’s get started and then you will see a place to enter the website in which you will be using contactable, Enter your websites address eg: contactable.live and press Submit.

Note: please only put the start of the address such as www.zguy.com and not a sub page such as www.zguy.com/about to ensure we can listen for your leads in the right spot

Step 6

Now choose who will install the plugin on your website and send the setup instructions to the email address you created your account with or enter the email of the person who will do the install for you. The nominated address will receive a setup email which includes your API key.

Step 7

You next step will be to install the WordPress plugin if you haven’t received your email yet you can download the Contactable WP Plugin by clicking here. Upload the Contactable WP Plugin to your WordPress site using the steps below which can also be found in your setup email.

Step 8

Upload the Contactable WP Plugin to your WordPress site via the backend WordPress admin login (/wp-admin) and make your way to the Plugins page and chose Upload Plugin.

Step 9

Install the Contactable WP Plugin to your WordPress site. Make sure to choose the Contactable WP Plugin that you just downloaded and ensure the file is still a .zip

Step 10

Wait for WordPress to install the Plugin and then Activate the Contactable WordPress plugin when prompted.

Step 11

Make your way to the new Contactable tab then Enter your API Key as shown below and click Save.

Note: your API key is in your email, if you cannot find the contactable tab ensure the plugin is activated on the Plugins page.

Step 12

All currently installed WordPress contact forms will be automatically detected.

Step 13

If you are not currently using any contact forms, you can also use a shortcode to display a basic contact form. This can be found in the plugin settings page.

Step 14

Now that you have Completed your plugin install you can make your way back to the app where you can now hit “I’ve registered the plugin” see the completed setup page and head to the home dashboard for all your contacts.

Now that setup is complete you can receive notifications and one touch email reply directly from the app for all your future contacts from your website.
